From an early age, A.J Dudek had a passion for the outdoors and pursuing the things that god created. With a little help from his father Lee, A.J began learning the art of angling, hunting, and wildlife conservation. A.J Dudek grew up in N.E Wisconsin enjoying all that wildlife had to offer.
After leaving for Green Bay, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he studied business management. After a few years of study, A.J packed up his belongings and headed west to Colorado.
As a fly fishing, backpacking, and snowshoeing guide he truly began to understand that fly fishing could become a career. Fly fishing became a true passion and the next few years were spent teaching and guiding in Durango, Co and Estes Park, Co, working in fly fishing shop all over the country has allowed A.J to become an accomplished guide, fly tier, and educator, his first love is the wild trout, but he enjoys angling for river Smallmouth, Carp, Muskie, and Pike on a fly.
Over the past few years A.J's professional experience have gotten the attention of some quality outdoor companies. He holds some Pro Staff position with St. Croix rods, Patagonia outdoor apparels, and recently RO drift boats.
Duringthe the winter months, A.J travels and does slideshows, clinics, and other fly fishing activities. Working with kids is a big passion of his and he hopes to see the sport grow in a positive direction. He promotes the art of angling and truly believes that conservation should be a part of the lifestyle of every outdoorsman.
A.J and his wife Jen, with pup Stryder live in Estes Park, Co. They enjoy the mountain lifestyle and A.J hopes to see you on the river!
